My life sort of revolves around the birds.  I have 5 macaws, four blue and gold and one crimson that came to me for life long care.  My travels are pretty much limited due to the level of care required.  My retirement is very much enhansed by there presence.  It's like having 5 young children in my care but thank goodness they are friendly and great companions.

My greatest ambition is the Coast Guard Auxiliary, and I am now a past Flotilla Commander.  I have two boats.  A 20 ft open aluminum boat and a 28 ft tupperware boat (fiberglass) with cabin.   They are both fully equiped with all the electronics and navigation equipment available.  The only thing that stops us is real heavy weather and heavy ocean conditions.

My third interest is Ham Radio.  Licensed as WA7PHI in 1970, I have retained the station license and original callsign to date.  I passed the Extra class license in portland Or. in 1981 after lots of study  My interest in electronics has never wavered and I enjoy both voice and morse radio and marine electronics equaly as much.  I operate the ham station daily and my van is  equiped with several radios that each require an antenna.  The van sports 9 antennas.
